Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Zira constituency is located in the Firozpur district of Punjab. It is one of the 117 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Congress' Kulbir Singh Zira won the last assembly elections and is the current MLA of Zira. He won the 2017 elections by defeating Shiromani Akali Dal's Hari Singh Zira with a margin of 23,071 votes. Voters According to the voter list for the 2017 assembly elections, the total number of voters in the constituency is 1,76,962. 223 polling stations were established by the election commission during these elections. A total of 1,50,777 votes were cast in the Zira constituency and the percentage was 85.20%, which was recorded higher than the state average. Candidates Aam Aadmi Party's Gurpreet Singh, Shiromani Akali Dal's Hari Singh Zira and Congress' Kulbir Singh were MLA candidates for the Zira constituency in the 2017 Punjab assembly elections. Kulbir Singh (Congress) grabbed 69,899 votes, while Hari Singh Zira (SAD) received 46,828 votes. Gurpreet Singh (AAP) managed to get 30,947 votes.
