BSF officer killed in sniper fire from Pakistan in J&K’s Samba sector

A Border Security Force (BSF) officer was killed in sniper fire from Pakistan on Tuesday in Samba sector in Jammu & Kashmir.

The BSF officer identified as Vinay Prasad, an Assistant Commandant, and his patrol party, were out for carrying out border domination along the Indian Border. The Pakistani snipers opened fire at them at around 10:50 on Tuesday morning. It was then; he was hit by a sniper shot leading to grievous injuries.

Vinay Prasad was rushed to the medical facility in Satwari in Jammu. His condition was very critical and he later succumbed to his injuries.
