CBSE directs schools to hold final exams for classes 9 and 11

CBSE Exams Class 9 and 11: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday advised schools to conduct the final examinations of Classes 9 and 11 by adhering to COVID-19 protocols and commence the new academic session from April 1, 2021.

The CBSE, in a circular, stated that the schools must follow all guidelines to hold examinations.

CBSE Exams Class 9 and 11: CBSE advised schools to conduct final examinations of Classes 9 and 11 with COVID-19 protocols and commence new academic session.

This circular has been issued after several schools sought advice from CBSE regarding exams for Classes 9 and 11 and about the commencement of the new academic session 2021-22.

The CBSE has announced the date sheet for classes 10 and 12 and provided sufficient time for preparation to the students for their board examinations, the circular stated.

CBSE Exams Class 9 and 11: CBSE advised schools to conduct final examinations of Classes 9 and 11 with COVID-19 protocols and commence new academic session.

It added that "for CBSE classes 9 and 11 also, the schools should take steps to identify and remedy the learning gaps and thereafter, conduct examinations by strictly following COVID-19 safety protocols as per examination bye-laws."

While holding examinations and classes, the COVID safety protocols should be followed strictly, CBSE stated while giving a green flag to conduct exams of class 9 and 11.

It further stated that it would be appropriate to start the academic session 2021-2022 from April 1, 2021, to the extent feasible subject to the instructions of the state government, the circular added.
