Temperature plummets after light to moderate rain in Tricity

Chandigarh: The Tricity and neighbouring areas of Punjab and Haryana woke up to light and moderate rain on Thursday. The rain cooled off Chandigarh, which has had poor air quality of late.

As per IMD Chandigarh, light to moderate rain is likely at a few places on Wednesday; at most places on November 7 and at isolated places on November 8. After this, weather is likely to remain dry in Punjab.

In Haryana, thunderstorm accompanied with hail and wind (speed 30-40 Kmph) are likely at isolated places on November 7. Lightening is predicted at isolated places on Wednesday. IMD, Chandigarh predicted maximum temperature of 26 degree Celcius and minimum temperature of 16 degree Celcius in Chandigarh.

On November 8, minimum temperature is expected to dip to 15 degree Celcius, while the maximum is expected to be 28 degrees Celcius.
