While active cases of coronavirus in #handigarh are increasing, the recovery rate is also progressively improving. Of the total 328 COVID 19 cases in Chandigarh, 34 are the active cases while 5 have succumbed to the pandemic.
Meanwhile, three residents of the Bapu Dham Colony, Sector 26 have been treated and cured of Shri Dhanwantry Ayurvedic College and Hospital and have been shifted to the Post Discharge Quarantine facility at Sood Dharmshala. Likewise, a resident of Khuda Alisher, Chandigarh has been treated and cured of Shri Dhanwantry Ayurvedic College and hospital.
In the war room meeting on Tuesday, it was suggested that PGIMER authorities should also examine the density of infection among the various patients and compare it with the other states so that the further policy decisions could be evolved.
The Chandigarh Administrator VP Singh Badnore stated that around 3,42,992 people have downloaded Aarogya Setu App and to date 61,00,000 cooked food packets have been distributed among the destitute and needy persons in various parts of the city.

He had appealed to Chandigarh not to stigmatize the residents of the Bapu Dham Colony and give them full opportunities for integrating into society. "Labour department to take up the matter with the private employers so that their pending wages could be paid," he said.
