Delhi: Gunmen open fire at police near Akshardham temple, escape

Exchange of fire took place between Delhi Police and four unidentified assailants near the capital’s Akshardham Temple on Sunday. The four unidentified assailants, who were in a white car, fired at the police team after being asked to stop. They managed to escape even though the police fired in response and gave chase. Sources said the assailants escaped to Geeta Colony, where a search operation has been launched. No one was injured in the cross-fire.
