Rajvir Jawanda’s social media following surges as singer remains critical on life support

PTC Web Desk: Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda’s health continues to remain critical, but his popularity on social media has surged. Since September 27, the day of the incident, his Instagram following has jumped from 2.4 million to over 2.6 million, with a parallel rise on his Facebook and YouTube platforms. The sudden increase shows the outpouring of support from fans, who have been flooding his posts with prayers and wishes for his recovery.

According to the sixth medical bulletin issued by Fortis Hospital on Thursday evening, Rajvir Jawanda is still on life support with no significant improvement in his neurological condition. Doctors said while his heart was being supported with medications, it was too early to make any definitive statement about his chances of recovery.

The hospital has so far released six official bulletins on singer's health, confirming that Jawanda has not regained consciousness and remains unable to communicate. He has received hypoxic injury. Across Punjab and beyond, special prayers are being held at gurdwaras, as fans and well-wishers continue to hope for positive news.

Rajvir Jawanda was brought to Fortis, Mohali, at 1.45 pm on September 27 with severe head and spinal injuries sustained in a road accident. He also suffered a cardiac arrest. At that time only, condition was described as extremely critical. He has been on ventilator support since and under 24-hour monitoring by neurosurgeons and critical care specialists. No major improvement has been seen so far.

His MRI scans have revealed serious spinal injuries to the neck and back, along with weakness in arms and legs. Doctors indicated long-term ventilator support might be necessary.

Fans continue to express hope of seeing him healthy and performing again.
