Farmers dump potatoes on road near YPS Chowk Mohali

Potato growers held a protest demanding a better price for their produce in Mohali today. they held a protest against the Punjab Government. They also threw potatoes on the road in the town.

Bumper potato crop has become a curse for farmers. They are left with no other option but to throw the produce on roads.

Thousands of farmers are sitting on the Mohali-Chandigarh border, and have dumped potatoes on YPS chowk. Huge economic crisis and the worsened situation has led to suicide by farmers.
