Lok Sabha Polls 2024: A popular bike taxi service in India, Rapido announced its "SawaariZimmedariKi" campaign, offering complimentary bike taxi, auto, and cab rides to differently-abled and senior citizen voters on the day of voting i.e. April 26 in Karnataka. 

As per the company’s initiative, residents in Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Mangaluru can utilise the code ‘VOTENOW’ to avail free transportation to and from polling stations on April 26


In the official statement, Rapido said, "In collaboration with the Election Commission of India (ECI) and Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), Rapido sets forth to champion civic engagement during the General Elections 2024 by extending free auto and cab rides to differently-abled and senior citizen voters.”

Rapido's Co-founder, Pavan Guntupalli, expressed the company's dedication to facilitating the civic duty of every voter in Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Mangaluru for the Indian General Election 2024. He emphasised their deployment of all available resources to ensure voter participation, especially for differently-abled and senior citizen voters. 

This initiative reflects a commitment to inclusivity and civic engagement, fostering greater participation in the democratic process.

The Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Phase 2 spanning across multiple states to take place on April 26, 2024. The counting of votes will be held on June 4

A total of 89 Lok Sabha seats distributed among 13 states and Union territories are slated for polling on April 26. 

During Phase 2 of the Lok Sabha elections, polling is slated to take place in various states across India. This includes all 20 seats in Kerala, 14 out of 28 seats in Karnataka, 13 seats in Rajasthan, eight seats each in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, seven seats in Madhya Pradesh, five seats each in Assam and Bihar, three seats each in Chhattisgarh and West Bengal, and one seat each in Manipur, Tripura, and Jammu and Kashmir.
