The BJP MP and Bengaluru South candidate, Tejasvi Surya, has been booked for allegedly posting a video on 'X' platform and seeking votes on religious grounds, as stated by the Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer.
In the ongoing Lok Sabha Election 2024, Prem Chand Bairwa, Rajasthan's Deputy Chief Minister and member of the BJP, exercised his voting right at a polling station located in Dudu, Rajasthan.
This marks the first time that the newly settled Bru voters participated in the General Elections to Lok Sabha 2024 on Friday. Previously, they had exercised their voting rights in the assembly elections held in March of the preceding year.
Significantly, the Bru migrants, formerly residing in six relief camps in North Tripura district until 2020, have now been granted permanent settlement in 12 locations across the state.

Amidst the ongoing second phase of Lok Sabha elections, former Uttar Pradesh Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav addressed a public rally in UP's Kannauj and said that the 2024 elections are to save the Constitution.
Speaking at the rally, Akhilesh Yadav said, "The BJP is helping big businessmen while the INDIA alliance and SP will help the poor... This election is also to save the Constitution. You must have seen, the BJP wants to finish the Constitution. Remember, if the Constitution finishes, our right to vote will also end. There will be no right to vote."

Congress candidate from Chhattisgarh's Rajnandgaon, Bhupesh Baghel visits different polling booths in the parliamentary constituency and also interacts with voters.
As voting for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections commenced on Friday, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi called on people to participate in voting in large numbers and emphasised that every vote counts.
In a post on X, Priyanka Gandhi said, "This election is to save the country's democracy and constitution. This election is to provide relief to the people struggling with unemployment, inflation, corruption and economic hardship."

Lok Sabha Polls 2024 Phase 2 LIVE UPDATES: The largest-ever election in history, voting for Lok Sabha Polls 2024 Phase 2 begins today in 88 constituencies spread across 13 states and Union Territories (UTs) amid tight security.
Polling is taking place in various states across India. This includes all 20 seats in Kerala, 14 out of 28 seats in Karnataka, 13 seats in Rajasthan, eight seats each in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, six seats in Madhya Pradesh, five seats each in Assam and Bihar, three seats each in Chhattisgarh and West Bengal, and one seat each in Manipur, Tripura, and Jammu and Kashmir.
