UP board topper Prachi Nigam shuts down trolls with academic excellence and self-confidence
PTC News Desk: In response to online trolling regarding her facial hair, Prachi Nigam, the Class 10 topper of the UP Board examinations with a remarkable 98.5 per cent score, has chosen to focus on her academic achievements rather than her appearance. Despite facing criticism, Prachi remains undeterred, emphasising that her marks hold more significance than any commentary on her physical features.
Expressing gratitude to those who have supported her amidst the online negativity, Prachi acknowledges both the criticism and the encouragement she has received. She asserts that while some may continue to ridicule her appearance, their opinions hold no sway over her determination or self-worth.
Drawing inspiration from historical figures, Prachi references Chanakya, an ancient Indian philosopher, who faced similar criticism for his appearance. She emphasises that like Chanakya, she remains unaffected by the opinions of detractors, prioritising her academic accomplishments over superficial judgments.
Previously, Prachi's photograph garnered widespread attention on social media platforms, sparking both criticism and solidarity. Despite facing adversity, the online community rallied in support of Prachi, condemning the trolls and expressing concern for her emotional well-being.
Notably, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra reached out to Prachi, offering words of encouragement and advising her to remain focused on her studies and aspirations. Praising Prachi for her academic success, Vadra urged her to disregard the negativity and continue pursuing her dreams unabated.
