ChatGPT down? AI tool faces global outage, down for users across the world
ChatGPT down? ChatGPT, an AI language model developed by OpenAI designed to understand and generate human-like text based on the input it receives covering a wide array of topics is facing a global outage.
Several users across the world have reported difficulties accessing the AI-powered ChatGPT. They encounter an error message indicating server issues. Similarly, users accessing ChatGPT via the iOS app or web version experience response generation problems, with a "Request Timeout" message displaying.
According to reports, a service monitoring online outages, reports of OpenAI service disruptions surged starting from 11am on May 3. Around 90 percent of the reported problems were related to ChatGPT.
Social media users highlighted the problem, with some encountering errors when attempting to engage with the AI chatbots, while others faced blank pages on ChatGPT.
One user expressed frustration: "ChatGPT is down again. Even Gemini isn't working. Anyone else experiencing this problem?"
Another user remarked, "Is ChatGPT down?
This isn't the first instance of a major outage for ChatGPT reported by users. In January of this year, OpenAI acknowledged an outage affecting the AI chatbot. Similarly, in November of last year, numerous users reported ChatGPT being inaccessible.
Notably, from answering questions to generating creative content, ChatGPT aims to assist users in various tasks requiring natural language understanding and generation.
