A Haryana Sub Inspector of Police shot his wife and then shot himself with a service revolver over a domestic dispute in Ambala on Monday.The deceased have been identified as Gurdeep Singh (43) and his wife Surender Kaur (38).

The ASI was posted in Panchkula police lines. He came to his native village, Nasrauli on Monday. Gurdeep Singh first shot his wife and then immediately killed himself with the service revolver. The children had gone to school when this incident occurred.

Soon after the gunshots were heard, neighbours called the police. Police sent the bodies for postmortem. The police told the media that exact cause of the killing could not be ascertained immediately. But it suspected a domestic dispute behind this tragic incident.

Also, police recovered no suicide note. It launched the investigation.
