Haryana police arrests three after recovery of contrabands

Chandigarh: Haryana Police on Thursday arrested three persons on the charges of drug-peddling in Sirsa district and recovered 5580 prohibited pharma pills, 40 grams of heroin and 16 kg poppy husk from their possession.

5580 prohibited pharma pills recovered

While giving the information on Thursday, a spokesperson of Haryana Police stated that in the first incident, the Police has arrested Kaur Singh, a resident of village Bahman Jassa, district Bathinda (Punjab) from village Jamal area after it recovered 5580 prohibited pharma pills from him.

40-gram heroin recovered

In another crackdown, a team of Anti-narcotic cells, during patrolling, has arrested Sandeep Kumar alias Kaku, who was a resident of village Badaguda. Meanwhile, the accused was found in possession of 40-gram heroin.

16 kg poppy husk recovered

Likewise, another crackdown on drug peddlers was made by Nathusari Chopta Police where it arrested accused Dalbir, a resident of Odhan Kalan. He was arrested during the patrolling with 16 kg poppy husk from near village Jamal in the district.

Meanwhile, the cases under the provisions of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act have been registered against them. Now, the accused will be taken on remand by producing them in the court for further investigation. Also, stern action will be taken after identifying the involvement of others in this racket of drug trafficking, he added.
