During the 75th episode of monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that the India’s “Janata Curfew” last year was an inspiration for the entire world as it was an “extraordinary example of discipline”. Even as he lauded the COVID-19 Vaccination drive in India.

He said that last year it was this very month of March when the country heard the term ‘Janata Curfew’ for the first time. It became a bewilderment to the entire world as it was an unprecedented example of discipline, he said.

During Mann Ki Baat, PM Narendra Modi said “Janata Curfew” last year was an inspiration. He lauded the COVID-19 Vaccination drive in India.

Adding, he said that coming generations would certainly feel proud at that. Even as he lauded the expressing of "honour and respect for corona warriors by ringing Thaalis, applauding, lighting a lamp!"

"You cannot imagine how much it had touched the hearts of corona Warriors and that is the very reason they resolutely held on the whole year, without tiring, without halting," said PM Narendra Modi during Mann Ki Baat.

Similarly, a 107-yr-old man in Delhi got himself vaccinated. We have to make people committed towards the mantra of 'Dawai bhi, Kadai bhi'," he said.
