Jobless ETT teachers protest during Punjab CM Channi's visit to Punjabi University
High drama was witnessed at Punjabi University in Patiala on Wednesday when a group of unemployed ETT teachers and guest faculty of government colleges reached the venue, where Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi had come to address teachers and students.
The protesters raised slogans against the Punjab Government. The police also used mild force to disperse the protesting unemployed ETT/TET-passed teachers and guest faculty.

ETT teachers associated with the ETT 2364 Teachers’ Union Punjab are seeking joining letters. They were selected for 2,364 post sanctioned by the Punjab Government in December last year, but they had been waiting for their joining letters since.
Notably, Charanjit Singh Channi had come to Punjabi University in Patiala on Wednesday to address teachers and students. The university had decided to shut classes for the day.
