Kanwar Yatra: 35 Pilgrims Carry 361 Feet Long Tricolour

Around 35 pilgrims undertook the annual pilgrimage, Kanwar Yatra starting from Bulandshahr's Keshopur Sathla. They are carrying a 361-feet long tricolour in memory of the martyrs.

The pilgrims carried the National Flag through the Delhi-Dehradun National Highway and thousands of people gathered to watch the colourful yatra.

Recently, 35 youths took the pledge to get the longest tricolour in the Kanwar Yatra to pay homage to martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country.

They fetched water from River Ganga in Har Ki Pauri of Haridwar, Uttarakhand and now moving back to their village and will offer 'Gangajal' at a temple in their village.

Moolchand Rajput, one of the devotees carrying the flag said, “We love the tricolour and our country. We are proud of the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives while protecting the country."
