MHA issues order to take special care of Jammu & Kashmir residents across India

Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issues an order to Chief Secretaries and Director Generals of Police (DGPs) of all state/UTs and Commissioner of Police, Delhi that immediate instruction may be issued to the security forces and law enforcement agencies in all the states to put them on maximum alert. The advisory says it is requested to take special care to ensure the safety and security of residents of Jammu & Kashmir, especially the students in various parts of the country.

The order from the Ministry of Home Affairs comes following the resolution revoking Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir moved by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Rajya Sabha, on Monday. Meanwhile, Section 144 CrPC has been imposed in the Jammu and Kashmir, also the mobile services have been suspended. The discussion in Rajya Sabha kicked-off with slogans raised in RS against the resolution revoking Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs gave a statement on Article 370 and said, "As the party to this international dispute, Pakistan will exercise all possible options to counter the illegal steps. Pakistan reaffirms its abiding commitment to the Kashmir cause."
