Five jawans killed during anti-terror operation in J-K's Rajouri

Rajouri, May 5: A total of five soldiers were killed during the ongoing anti-terror operation in the Kandi area of Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri.

"Three more soldiers who were injured earlier have unfortunately succumbed to their injuries. A total of five soldiers have lost their lives in the joint operation in Rajouri, J&K," officials updated.

The operations are still in progress, they added.

Earlier, it was reported that two Army personnel were killed and four were injured in a blast triggered by terrorists during an operation in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri on Friday.

As per information, during a joint operation in the Kandi Forest in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists triggered an explosive device in retaliation. Two Army personnel were killed and four more soldiers were injured.


As per information, additional teams have been sent to the encounter site. The injured have been taken to Command Hospital, Udhampur.

Sources said a group of terrorists were trapped in the area and there might be casualties in terrorist groups too.'

Officials said mobile internet services had also been suspended in J-K's Rajouri.
