AIIMS-Delhi issues advisory after staff test positive for Covid-19

Advisory issued by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)-Delhi for staff to follow Covid-19 appropriate behaviour after a few tested positive for the infection

New Delhi, April 13: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)-Delhi has issued an advisory for its staff to ensure Covid-19 appropriate behaviour after a few of them tested positive for the infection. 

The management has instructed staff to use reusable cloth face cover/surgical masks in the workplace and ensure proper cleaning and frequent sanitation of frequently touched surfaces. They have been asked to cover their noses and mouths with elbow/handkerchief/tissue when sneezing and coughing, maintain personal hygiene, and maintain physical distancing.

Gatherings, especially in canteens, should be avoided and a gathering of five or more persons at any place in the office must be avoided. Employees who feel unwell should leave the workplace immediately after informing their reporting officers and home quarantine themselves. 

Those at higher risk, such as pregnant employees, older employees, and those with underlying medical conditions, should take extra precautions.
