Another twist in Noida case: Nikkis brothers estranged wife accuses in-laws of dowry harrassment
Nikki Bhatti's brother's estranged wife Minakshi who is from Palla village, has claimed that her family had given a Maruti Suzuki Ciaz as dowry, but her in-laws had sold it, calling it "inauspicious."
PTC News Desk: In another twist in Greater Noida dowry case, fresh allegations have surfaced against the victim's family. Earlier, Nikki Bhatti's family had accused her in-laws of dowry harrassment, now similar accusations have been levelled against them.
Minakshi got married to Nikki's brother Rohit Payla in 2016.
Nikki Bhatti's brother's estranged wife Minakshi who is from Palla village, has claimed that her family had given a Maruti Suzuki Ciaz as dowry, but her in-laws had sold it, calling it "inauspicious."
Minakshi further claimed that the Paylas had then demanded a new model of Scorpio SUV and cash. On being denied, Minakshi alleged that her in-laws sent her back to her parents' house.
The matter escalated and taken to the village Panchayat, where it was reportedly advised that either Rs 35 lakh (the amount spent on their wedding) be returned to Minakshi's family so that she could be remarried, or that the husband's family accept her back as their daughter-in-law.
