PTC News Desk: The Haryana Police’s Special Task Force (STF) has made a significant breakthrough in its crackdown on organised crime by arresting gangster Lakhwinder Singh, alias Lakha — a close aide of Lawrence Bishnoi — following his deportation from the United States.

Lakha, a native of Titram village in Kaithal district, had reportedly been running operations from the US since 2022 under the instructions of Anmol Bishnoi, police said.

He is accused of involvement in about a dozen cases of extortion and firing linked to organised crime across Haryana and Punjab.

Officials said several FIRs were filed against him in 2023 for extortion and issuing threats in Sonepat, Rohtak, Yamunanagar, Kaithal, and Ambala. The STF had earlier issued a Look Out Circular in 2023 and a Red Corner Notice in 2024 to locate him.

After nearly a year of collaboration with national and international authorities, the STF’s Ambala unit managed to secure his deportation and formally took him into custody after completing all legal procedures.
