Blue drum fear: Bulandshahr man parts ways with wife, allows her to live with lover to save his life

PTC Web Desk: A disturbing case from Bulandshahr has come to light where a man claims he chose separation over fear for his life after discovering suspicious messages on his wife’s mobile phone.
Rajkumar, a resident of the district, alleged that his wife had been involved in an extramarital relationship for some time. According to him, frequent disputes between the couple escalated when he began questioning her movements. He said she would often leave home after arguments and eventually moved out in July last year, taking their six-month-old child with her.
While she told him she was staying with her parents, Rajkumar claimed she had actually been living with her alleged partner for nearly a month.
The situation took a more alarming turn recently when Rajkumar managed to access his wife’s phone during a call. While checking it, he reportedly came across explicit images, social media posts related to murder and references to “cement” and a “blue drum.” He also claimed to have found an image of himself accompanied by similar wording, which he interpreted as a possible threat to his life.
The phrases reminded him of the widely reported Meerut blue drum murder case, where a man was allegedly killed and his body disposed of in a cement-filled drum. Rajkumar said this resemblance heightened his fear, especially as he alleged that his wife had earlier threatened to kill him in a similar manner during heated arguments.
He further claimed that she neglected household responsibilities and showed little concern for their child, adding that she would discard the baby’s soiled clothes instead of cleaning them.
Fearing for his safety and that of his family, Rajkumar approached the police and filed a complaint. During mediation proceedings, his wife reportedly stated clearly that she wished to continue living with her alleged partner.
Following this, Rajkumar decided to step aside and allow her to leave, prioritising his safety over continuing the relationship.
