Delhi CM orders demolition of building adjacent to collapsed Satya Niketan PG tomorrow, announces aid for injured

The chief minister also announced ex-gratia Rs 5 lakh for people injured in the building collapse and said that Delhi government would bear their entire treatment cost.

PTC News Desk: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has ordered demolition of the building next to PG accommodation that collapsed and killed seven people in Delhi's Satya Niketan after civic officials flagged safety concerns. 


The chief minister also announced ex-gratia Rs 5 lakh for people injured in the building collapse and said that Delhi government would bear their entire treatment cost. She handed over cheques to the families of the injured at AIIMS Trauma Centre earlier in the day.


"I have met the injured children. Twelve people were brought out in an injured state; seven of them were found dead," Gupta said.


"We have assured them that the best possible medical care will be provided and that the government will offer full support and assistance," Gupta said.
