PTC Web Desk:  The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has placed Indian national Amritpal Singh on its most wanted list for his alleged involvement in a large international drug trafficking network operating across North America.

According to the agency, Singh is accused of being linked to the Ravinder Dhanda organised crime group, a Canada-based criminal network that is suspected of trafficking illegal drugs across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The FBI said the Ravinder Dhanda gang is believed to have smuggled large quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine for drug trafficking organisations across North America.

Investigators allege that Amritpal Singh was part of a conspiracy that helped move and distribute these illegal drugs through the organised crime network.

Wanted under FBI's Operation Hardball

Amritpal Singh's name was added to the FBI's Most Wanted list as part of Operation Hardball, a major investigation targeting the alleged activities of the Ravinder Dhanda crime syndicate. The operation focuses on dismantling international drug trafficking networks that operate across the US, Canada and Mexico.

Arrest warrant issued in Los Angeles

The FBI said a federal court in Los Angeles issued an arrest warrant against Amritpal Singh on June 23. However, the agency has not disclosed his current whereabouts.

FBI seeks public's help

The FBI identified Singh as an Indian citizen born on January 7, 1996, and released a photograph taken in 2024 to help authorities and the public identify him.

The agency has appealed to anyone with information about his location to contact law enforcement immediately. The investigation is being handled by the FBI's Los Angeles Field Office.
