Kisan Andolan 2.0. | Haryana cop passes away while on duty at Shambhu Border

Kisan Andolan 2.0. | A 52-year-old Haryana Sub-Inspector Hiralal who was posted at Shambhu border following the farmers' 'Delhi Chalo' march, passed away this morning. 

As per the sources, the health of Sub-Inspector Hiralal deteriorated while on duty on Friday. He was immediately taken to Ambala Civil Hospital but despite all the efforts of the doctors, he could not be saved.

Expressing grief over the demise of Sub-Inspector Hiralal, Haryana Director General of Police Shatrujit Kapoor said, "Sub-Inspector Hiralal always performed his duties with full dedication and his death was a big loss to the police force."

The protesting farmers who have been camping at the border points since the start of the March on Tuesday entered Day 5 today and farmers are attempting to enter the national capital. 

Meanwhile, hundreds of farmers and some journalists have been injured as the protestors clashed with the police many a time trying to break the multi-layer barricades.

A third round of talks with the central government ended in a stalemate on Thursday, amid the standoff between the protestors and security personnel on the Punjab-Haryana border.

Meanwhile, third round of discussions between protesting farmers in Punjab and three central ministers, which continued till late Thursday, "concluded positively."

The SKM announced that its Punjab unit will convene a meeting in Jalandhar on Sunday, to be succeeded by gatherings of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) and the general body in Delhi.
