Sahil Gehlot sent to five-day police custody; couple was in live-in relationship
New Delhi, February 15: Another Shraddha Walkar-like murder case has rattled the national capital. The Delhi Police has arrested a man for allegedly killing his girlfriend and stuffing her body in a refrigerator in outer Delhi’s Mitraon village near Najafgarh. As per sources, the accused, Sahil Gehlot (24), allegedly strangled his girlfriend Nikki Yadav (23) with a data cable.
He committed the crime as she was "pressurising" him for marriage. Notably, Nikki Yadav's body was found in a fridge at a roadside restaurant on Tuesday.

The dhaba where the body was found in refrigerator is owned by Sahil Gehlot's family. The car in which Nikki was allegedly killed has also been impounded. Currently, the accused is in five-day police custody.
As per information, Sahil, on the day of the murder, reportedly married another girl. The accused is a pharma graduate. Nikki belonged to Jhajjar in Haryana. Her neighbour had reported her missing.
How the couple met?
Victim Nikki and Sahil were together preparing for medical entrance exams. They had been in live-in relationship for. The victim was unaware of Sahil being engaged to another woman.
A similar incident was reported in Delhi last year. Shraddha Walker was murdered by her boyfriend Aftab and her body was cut into several pieces. He stored the body parts in a 300-litre fridge and disposing them of on different days in a forest area to avoid being caught.
