Hemkunt Sahib Management Committee rebuts fake news about halt of scared yatra

Hemkund Sahib Yatra: The Management Committee of Hemkund Sahib rebutted fake news and the wrong information being posted by people mentioning the halt of yatra. 

The Management Committee of Hemkund Sahib said that the yatra is absolutely normal and the courage of both the ‘sangat’ and the ‘sewadars’ is worth seeing and appreciating.

Management Committee further added that, “The state and district administration is on the vigil and doing its best to make the Yatra smooth and easy. The yatris coming back after the ‘darshan’ are extremely happy and satisfied.” 


Therefore, the Management also requested the devotees to not to fall in prey to the rumours and fake news about the halt of religious yatra. 

The Committee further advised that the pilgrims can get information regarding the Yatra from all trust Gurdwaras. 


Notably, Hemkund Sahib, situated at an altitude of 15,225 feet, received up to two inches of snow, dropping the temperature here to minus. Hemkund Sahib has been covered with a white sheet of snow as snowfall started in high-altitude areas due to changes in weather and rain. 

This gurdwara is one of the most revered Sikh pilgrimage sites. Hemkunt Sahib (also known as Hemkund Sahib) is visited by thousands of devotees from all over the globe every summer. The shrine is situated beside a lake and it is believed that the 10th Sikh Guru, Gobind Singh, had meditated at the site.
