PTC Web Desk: National Highway-5 in Himachal Pradesh's Solan district faced a blockade near Shamlech village due to a landslide on Monday morning, as confirmed by officials. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported in the incident, which was reported around 7.30 am on Shimla-Kalka Road near Solan bypass.

The landslide brought traffic to a standstill, leaving vehicles stranded on both sides of the road. The police directed commuters to turn back and use the old Barog route.

Efforts to clear the road began immediately with excavators deployed to the landslide site.
