Mother thrashes children with chapati roller over chicken demand, son dies

PTC News Desk: A request for non vegetarian food turned tragic for a brother-sister duo after their mother mercilessly beat them with a chapati roller, resulting in the boy's death.
The incident unfolded in Maharashtra’s Palghar on Sunday.
The deceased boy has been identified as Chinmay Dhumde. The boy had asked her mother for chicken dish, in response to which she fatally beat the boy and critically injured the girl, who is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
Alerted by the children's cries, the neighbours alerted the police. Soon after, personnel from local police station, local crime branch, and the sub-divisional office rushed to the spot.
Subsequently the accused mother was taken into custody. “Pallavi Ghumde, 40, lived with her family in a flat in the Kashipada area. Her son, Chinmay Ganesh Ghumde, 7, was brutally beaten with household items and died as a result of the beating. Her 10-year-old daughter was also beaten. A murder case has been registered at the Palghar police station. The Palghar police are conducting further investigations," SP Deshmukh said.
Police has launched investigation into the matter and registered a murder case against the woman.
