Odisha horror: Drunk man kills wife, dumps body in septic tank; 4-year-old son exposes crime
PTC Web Desk: A shocking incident has surfaced from Odisha’s Nabarangpur district, where a man is accused of killing his wife after a domestic dispute and hiding her body inside a septic tank at their residence.
The crime reportedly took place in Borgaan village on April 11. The accused, Subas Gond, had returned home from a wedding function along with his wife, Manai Gond, and their children. Soon after, an argument broke out between the couple, allegedly over suspicions regarding the woman’s character.
According to initial reports, the dispute quickly turned violent. Subas is said to have physically assaulted his wife during the altercation, leading to her death on the spot. Family members of the victim have alleged that he was intoxicated at the time.
In an attempt to conceal the crime, the accused allegedly disposed of the body by dumping it into a septic tank within the house premises.
The matter came to light in a heartbreaking manner when the couple’s four-year-old son, who had witnessed the incident, informed neighbours and relatives. His account raised suspicion, following which locals confronted Subas. Though he initially tried to mislead them, he eventually admitted to the crime under pressure.
The police were alerted by the villagers and reached the scene shortly after. The body was recovered from the septic tank and the accused has been taken into custody for further investigation.
