Parliament security breach: Delhi Police told a court on Friday that Lalit Jha, the alleged "mastermind" behind the Parliament security breach, and his co-accused intended to cause "anarchy" in the nation in order to force the government to comply with their demands. Sources claim that in order to reenact the incident that happened on the anniversary of the 2001 attack, the police would ask for approval from Parliament.

As a result of the significant security breach at Parliament involving smoke bombs and protests, five people have been taken into custody so far. Neelam Devi and Amol Shinde were held outside the Parliament building, while Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D were taken into custody inside the Lok Sabha chamber.

Jha admitted that he had multiple meetings with the other accused in the case to get ready for the security breach at Parliament, Delhi Police informed the Patiala House court. Jha, a Bihar native who worked as a teacher in Kolkata, was placed under seven days of police custody on Friday.

Jha will also be interrogated in order to determine whether the accused had any connections to terrorist groups or enemy countries.

The authorities claim that Jha burned the phones of those who were also involved in the breach and discarded his own phone.

According to a Delhi Police source, "he fled to Rajasthan where he stayed for two days and returned to Delhi last night."

While Jha cited "unemployment" as the reason for the security breach, the authorities believe there was a larger conspiracy that may have received foreign funding. The shoe designer who created the shoes that covered the smoke canisters the suspects used inside the Parliament building has also been sought by the authorities.
