PM Modi holds grand roadshow in Guwahati, Assam to launch healthcare initiatives

Guwahati, April 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a grand roadshow in Guwahati, Assam on Friday. Enthusiastic crowds lined the streets to welcome him as he waved from the running board of his moving car.

During his visit, he laid the foundation stone of Assam Advanced Healthcare Innovation Institute (AAHII) at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati.


In his address to the public, Prime Minister Modi criticised the opposition for the lack of credit they have given the government for the development of the northeast, stating that their only ambition is to become "lords over the country" and have done much damage over the years. He also emphasised the BJP's commitment to the people of the region, saying that they are dedicated to serving the nation and are devoted to the cause of its progress.

PM Modi also spoke about the accomplishments of the government in the past nine years, citing the establishment of AIIMS, the construction of 300 new medical colleges and the doubling of MBBS seats in the country. He also highlighted the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, which provides financial security to the poor, and the Jan Aushadhi Kendras, which provide access to affordable medicines.

The Prime Minister concluded his speech by stressing the importance of transforming the country's healthcare sector and ensuring that its people have access to quality healthcare.
