Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Dhami meets Sri Hemkund Sahib Management Trust president Narendra Jeet Singh Bindra

PTC News Desk: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Narendra Jeet Singh Bindra, president of the Gurudwara Sri Hemkund Sahib Management Trust, at the Chief Minister’s residence on Sunday. Bindra briefed him about the preparations and arrangements for the upcoming pilgrimage.


During the meeting, Bindra invited the Chief Minister to attend the farewell ceremony of the first group of the Hemkund Sahib Yatra 2026 on May 20, 2026.

The Chief Minister said that the government is ensuring all possible support for the safety and convenience of pilgrims. He added that arrangements are being continuously monitored so that devotees do not face any problems. He assured that the state government is fully committed to making the yatra smooth, well-organised, and successful.

Bindra also said that the first group of pilgrims will be flagged off on May 20, 2026, traditionally led by the Panj Pyare. He added that the shrine will open for devotees on May 23, 2026, and lakhs of pilgrims are expected to visit the sacred shrine.
