Republic Day 2023: Ceremonies to watch, when, where and how to buy tickets for parade
New Delhi, January 23: India observes 26 January as Republic day because the foundation of this country, the Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950. On the occasion of Republic Day, a grand parade is organized on the Kartavya path of the national capital, Delhi, in which the progress and achievements of the country is displayed along with the display of India's cultural and military heritage.
However, this year the Government of India has decided to reserve the front row for special official invitees. In this front row would sit laborers and their families, duty road maintenance workers and other community members, such as rickshaw pullers and vegetable vendors.
The theme of this year's Republic Day will be 'Participation of Common People'. On this occasion, the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El Sisi, will join as the chief guest.

When, how and where will you get tickets for the parade?
Online purchase of tickets for the Republic Day event started from January 6. At the same time, from January 9, people can buy their tickets in person at the ticket counters. Tickets for the Republic Day Parade can be purchased online through the web portal of the Ministry of Defense www.amantran.gov.in.

Fill details like name, father or husband name, date of birth, mobile number and permanent residence. Enter OTP.
Select the event you wish to attend.
Fill in the details of each guest and upload your ID proof along with the original photo.
Complete your payment and buy tickets.
Parade tickets are available for Rs 20, Rs 100 and Rs 500. Payment can be made on the website only.
Tickets for the Republic Day Parade can also be purchased offline. Can be bought from Sena Bhawan, Shastri Bhawan, Jantar Mantar and Pragati Maidan.
