PTC Web Desk: A Solan fair incident at the ongoing National Shoolini Fair in Thodo Ground led to panic after an inflatable Mickey Mouse ride suddenly deflated and collapsed, trapping several children underneath.

According to reports, the structure of the inflatable ride gave way unexpectedly while nearly 15 children were inside. The sudden collapse caused chaos at the fairground as parents rushed toward the ride to rescue their children. The Solan fair incident quickly turned into a tense situation, though a major tragedy was avoided due to timely action by bystanders.

Eyewitnesses said the inflated ride, which was packed with children, deflated within moments and fell like a collapsed tent. The heavy synthetic material pinned down the children, leading to screams and panic among families present at the spot.

Several parents alleged negligence on the part of the ride operator and staff, claiming they left the ticket counter and fled the scene instead of assisting in rescue efforts. Local residents managed to remove the debris and safely rescue around 12 to 15 children trapped under the structure.

Fortunately, all children were rescued before any serious injuries were reported, though parents expressed concern that a delay could have led to suffocation or more serious consequences.

SP Solan Sai Dattatreya Verma confirmed that a complaint has been received and an investigation into the incident is underway to determine the cause of the collapse.
