Telangana teen sends death threat emails to Mukesh Ambani, arrested
PTC News Desk: Police have arrested a 19-year-old from Telangana for allegedly sending death threats emails to Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani. Last week, the industrialist received three threatening e-mails, each demanding large sums of money.
Ganesh Ramesh Vanapardhi, the accused, has been arrested and is being held in police custody until November 8.
On October 27, a complaint was filed in Mumbai based on a complaint filed by the industrialist's security in-charge after the first e-mail, seeking 20 crores, was received on Friday from an unidentified person. Days later, the company received another e-mail demanding 200 crore.
The third threat stated that if Ambani did not pay 400 crore, he would be killed.
The mail ID belongs to a person named Shadab Khan, and the emails came from Belgium, according to a police investigation.
The police are looking into whether this is the correct ID for the person or if the emails were sent using a fake ID.
