Three-year-old critically injured after candy explodes in her mouth in Alwar

PTC News Desk: A three-year-old girl sustained critical injuries after an item resembling candy exploded in her mouth in Rajasthan's Alwar district.
The case, reported from Chowkibas village under the Ramgarh police station area, has raised serious concerns about child safety and criminal negligence.
The child identified as Akshu is currently undergoing treatment while police has launched detailed investigation into the matter. The shopkeeper involved has also been taken into the custody.
The incident unfolded on Tuesday when Akshu accompanied her six-year-old sister Ahana to a nearby grocery shop to buy sweets.
According to the complaint, the shopkeeper, identified as Sudil alias Kala, son of Natho, allegedly gave the child an item that appeared to be a sweet but was actually an explosive substance similar to a firecracker.
Soon after, when the toddler put the object in her mouth and bit into it, it suddenly exploded. The blast caused serious injuries to her jaw and cheek, leading to heavy bleeding. Eyewitnesses said the child collapsed instantly after the explosion, creating panic in the surrounding area.
Emergency Surgery Saves Child’s Life
Akshu’s aunt immediately rushed her to a private hospital in Alwar, where she was admitted to Sania Hospital in a critical condition. Doctors carried out emergency surgery to save her life. Hospital authorities later confirmed that the procedure was successful and that the child’s condition is now stable and out of danger.
