Pakistan violates ceasefire in Poonch sector and Chakkan da Bagh area

Pakistan violated ceasefire in Poonch sector and Chakkan da Bagh area in Jammu & Kashmir on Wednesday. The LoC trade centre is located in Chakkan da Bagh area. Pakistan started firing from across the border at around 11:30 am.

According to media reports, the Army retaliated effectively and strongly. More details of the ceasefire violation are awaited.

The ceasefire violation incidents have increased in the State. On February 27, Pakistan violated ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir’s Uri sector. The ceasefire was violated in Uri sector in Baramulla district. The Indian Army is retaliating strongly to the cross border firing.

Poonch sector Pakistan violates ceasefire in Poonch sector and Chakkan da Bagh area

On February 25, the Pakistan army targeted forward posts and civilian areas along the LoC in Rajouri district. It started at around 1830 hours. Pakistan initiated ceasefire violation by firing small arms along the LoC in the Nowshera sector.
