PM Modi conferred UAE's highest civilian award

Prime Minister has been conferred upon the United Arab Emirates’ highest civilian award, ‘Order of Zayed’ on Thursday. The award has been conferred upon him for strengthening ties between the UAE and India.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, announced on Twitter. He wrote, “We have historical and comprehensive strategic ties with India, reinforced by the pivotal role of my dear friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who gave these relations a big boost. In appreciation of his efforts, the UAE President grants him the Zayed Medal.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin, former US President George W Bush, French Leader Nicolas Sarkozy and German Politician Angela Merkel are the previous recipients of this award.
