Congress triggers massive row after posting AI video of PM Modi selling tea at red-carpet event
The video quickly drew criticism from BJP with party spokesperson lashing out at Congress, accusing it of abusing the Prime Minister.
PTC News Desk: A major controversy erupted after Congress posted AI video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi selling tea at what appears to be a red carpet event. The video was posted on X by Congress leader Ragini Nayak with the caption, "Now, who did this?"
The video shows Prime Minister in a light blue coat and black trousers while holding a kettle and tea glasses at an event, which appears to be a red carpet with international flags and the Tricolour displayed in the background.
A voice, mimicking that of PM Modi can be heard saying, “Chai bolo, chaiye (Anyone wants tea)." The video surfaced as Prime Minister claimed that he used to sell tea at railway station in Gujarat.
The video quickly drew criticism from BJP with party spokesperson lashing out at Congress.
BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala said: “After Renuka Choudhary insulted Parliament and the Sena, now Ragini Nayak has attacked and mocked Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Chaiwala’ background."
"The elite Congress cannot accept a hardworking PM from the OBC community who rose from a humble background. They have mocked his ‘Chaiwala’ roots before, abused him over 150 times, and even targeted his mother in Bihar. The people will never forgive them," he added.
Earlier also a row erupted over AI video of PM Modi's mother posted by the Bihar Congress unit. The video showed Prime Minister dreaming about his late mother, who is shown criticising him over his politics in the state, which went to the polls last month.
