Navjot Kaur Sidhu accuses Raja Warring of Rs 2,400 crore land scam, challenges him to face court

PTC Web Desk: Former Congress leader Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu has once again launched a sharp attack on Punjab Congress president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, accusing him of being involved in large-scale land irregularities and financial misconduct.

In a social media post, Navjot Kaur Sidhu alleged that Raja Warring purchased nearly 100 acres of land in Zirakpur, claiming that around 60 acres were allegedly taken from innocent individuals through forged signatures and thumb impressions. She challenged the Punjab Congress chief to respond to the allegations in court and said he should be prepared to face legal consequences if proven guilty.

She further alleged that a financial scam amounting to approximately Rs 2,400 crore was carried out in collaboration with a former Punjab Congress in-charge from Rajasthan. However, she did not provide documentary evidence to substantiate the claims in her public statement.

The former leader also accused Raja Warring, who currently represents Ludhiana in Parliament, of exploiting youth in the name of party membership. She claimed that young people joining the Congress are being charged Rs 75 as a membership fee, resulting in the collection of crores of rupees, while no substantial efforts are being made to address unemployment.

Responding to the allegations, Raja Warring categorically denied all charges. He stated that he does not wish to comment on remarks made by someone whose “mental condition is not stable,” dismissing the accusations as baseless.

It is pertinent to note that Navjot Kaur Sidhu was suspended from the Congress party in December last year and was later expelled in February.

The latest exchange has intensified political tensions within the Punjab Congress, reflecting ongoing internal discord in the state unit.
