Who needs Money Heist when you have...: PM Modi mocks Cong over 351-crore cash haul from party MP

PTC News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a swap at Congress following the Income Tax department's seizure of Rs 350 crore in black money and approximately 3 kg of gold ornaments from the premises of MP Dhiraj Sahu.

Taking a dig at the grand old party, the Prime Minister referred to the popular 'Money Heist' drama and said that the Congress has been looting the country for 70 years now.

Taking to X, the PM said, “In India, who needs 'Money Heist' fiction, when you have the Congress Party, whose heists are legendary for 70 years and counting!” He also attached a video shared by the BJP, captioned, “Congress presents the ‘Money Heist!’'

Odisha cash seizure

During raids on properties related to Congress MP Dheeraj Sahu in Odisha and Jharkhand, the Income Tax agency confiscated a record Rs 353 crore in cash.

According to officials, the cash collection is the "highest-ever" in a single action by any investigative agency in the country.

Following the uncovering of nearly Rs 350 crore in cash, the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD), the BJP, and the Congress began a blame game and traded charges.
