Phase 5 of the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 wrapped up on Monday. Campaigning of just two phases is left. The political parties decided to intensify their campaigning.  Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi will hold a roadshow in Haryana on Tuesday. She will also attend public meetings in Ambala and Hisar. Rahul Gandhi will also address rallies in Jharkhand and West Bengal.

Bhartiya Janta Party is scheduled to address three rallies in West Bengal and Bihar. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will visit Haryana on Tuesday. He will also hold a roadshow, a rally in Jind to support of BJP’s nominee Ramesh Kaushik and Ismailpur in Faridabad parliamentary constituency for Krishan Pal Gurjar. Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will also address rallies in West Bengal.

More than 62 per cent voters cast their votes in 51 constituencies in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2019. Deputy Election Commissioner Sandeep Saxena said, "The overall polling percentage was 62.56 per cent in 2019 compared to 61.75 per cent in 2014." West Bengal recorded a polling percentage of 73.97 per cent, while it was 57.33 per cent in Uttar Pradesh. In Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, the polling percentage was 57.86 per cent, 63.72 per cent, 63.74 per cent and 62.60 per cent respectively.

While in Ladakh constituency the voter turnout was 63.76 per cent, it was 8.76 per cent in Anantnag.
