NIA raids youths residence in Mansa over alleged links to Pakistan-based terrorist Shahzad Bhatti

PTC News Desk: A team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday raided a house in Kulana village of the Budhlada subdivision as part of an ongoing investigation into the alleged links between a local youth and Pakistan-based terrorist Shahzad Bhatti.
The search was conducted at the residence of Yadwinder Singh, alias Preet. According to sources, this was the third time the NIA had searched his house in connection with the case.
Family members said the NIA team thoroughly searched the premises and examined bank account records before leaving. They added that no items were seized during Tuesday's operation.
Speaking to media persons, Yadwinder said the NIA officials questioned him about some contact numbers and directed him to appear before the agency at its Chandigarh office on June 15.
“During the previous raids, they took away my mobile phones. This time they only searched the house and asked me to appear at the NIA office in Chandigarh on Monday,” he said.
Yadwinder Singh, who has completed education up to Class X, is already facing a case under the NDPS Act. NIA officials did not disclose any further details regarding the investigation or the nature of the alleged links being probed.
The investigation remains ongoing.
