Punjab crime: Five-year-old boy kidnapped from New Deep Nagar in Hoshiarpur found murdered

PTC Web Desk: A tragic incident has shaken New Deep Nagar locality in Hoshiarpur after a five-year-old boy, who was kidnapped on Sunday evening, was later found murdered. The body was recovered a short while ago from a cremation ground located in Raipur.
The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Hoshiarpur, also reached the spot as police teams began investigations into the heinous crime.
According to reports, the child was abducted around 5–6 pm from a street in the area. CCTV footage of the kidnapping had surfaced, prompting immediate police action. Upon receiving the information, DSP Dev Datt Sharma along with officials from Purhiran police station rushed to the spot and launched a search operation.
Despite swift efforts, the boy was later discovered murdered. The police have arrested the kidnapper, a drug addict.
Further investigations are underway.
