Tragic: 14-year-old dies while playing football match in Punjabs Abohar

PTC News Desk: A 14-year-old player collapsed and died suddenly while playing football in Dharangwala village of Abohar. He was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.
The tragic incident took place during a match part of the tournament organised by the Maharishi Valmiki Sports Club.
The deceased has been identified as Jasmeet, a resident of Alamwala village in Malout. Villager Pindar Singh said that during the first match of the tournament, Jassu suddenly collapsed on the ground right after kicking the football. He was the only brother of three sisters.

Jasmeet was the only and youngest brother among his three sisters. His father works as a labourer in the village. Prima facie, the cause of death is suspected to be a heart attack. However, the exact cause will be known only after the post-mortem report.
ASI Gurmeet Singh of Sadar police station is investigating the matter. The body has been kept at the government hospital for post-mortem.
