Punjab Govt orders former CM Rajinder Kaur Bhattal to vacate government house by May 5

Chandigarh, May 3: Punjab government has started cracking down on politicians to vacate government residences. Under this the first woman Chief Minister of Punjab Rajinder Kaur Bhattal has been directed to vacate the Government House. The directive issued by the government said that the residence should be vacated by May 5. Also Read| Punjab Cabinet nod to ‘One MLA, One Pension’ scheme It may be mentioned that Rajinder Kaur Bhattal was given Cabinet rank of being the Chairperson of Punjab State Planning Commission. But the current AAP led Punjab Government has dissolved the Punjab State Planning Commission. The commission was dissolved by the government on April 20. Therefore, Bhattal has been directed to vacate the Government House. The mansion was to be vacated within 15 days of the dissolution of the commission but Bhattal has not yet vacated the residence.
