24-year-old woman from Punjabs Faridkot dies in Canada; heart attack suspected

PTC News Desk: A 24-year-old Punjabi woman from Faridkot, Punjab, died of a suspected heart attack in Canada. The woman, identified as Anmoldeep Kaur from Dod village, had been living in Winnipeg with a woman of Bangladeshi origin.
Anmoldeep had moved to Canada on a study visa four years ago. She had completed her studies and had also applied for permanent residency. On Tuesday, her health suddenly deteriorated and she died. Her family was informed about her death by the woman she was living with.
Her adoptive father, Dr Jarnail Singh, expressed deep grief and regret over his decision to send her abroad. Villagers have appealed for financial help to bring Anmoldeep’s body back to India.
Dr Jarnail Singh, who runs a clinic and is known for his social work in the village, had no children of his own. He had adopted Anmoldeep, the daughter of his elder brother Pritam Singh.
