Rainfall on Sept 1 and 2 likely at most places in Punjab

Rainfall has occurred at a few places in the state, with monsoon on the peak.

Chief Amount of Rainfall (in cm) - Moga, Talwandi Sabo, and Phagwara & Sangrur 3 each; Nakodar, Jalandhar (AWS), Halwara (IAF), Mukerian 2 each and Jagraon, Kapurthala, Mansa & Sunam 1 each.

Forecast valid next five days – light to moderate rain, thundershowers likely at many places during next 24 hours. While a few places are likely to receive in the subsequent 24 hours.

Warnings – heavy rainfall likely at isolated places on 31^st August, 1^st and 2^nd September in the state.
